Is it just me, or is the series starting to go down hill?
I have been a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon's dark-hunter series for years, but I noticed things have changed significantly. I sampled Infinity and found it, well, childish. Apparently from a review I read, she seems to be wanting to attract Twilight fans, so the intense drama, fights, cursing, and sex has disappeared. It bothers me, because yes, I do love the balance of engaging plot, mindless violence, and erotica. I am wondering if I am the only one who has noticed the change. I mean, even the covers of her recent books are colorful and mixed in with harry potter and Twilight at Walmart. It really bugs me. It used to bug me how she kept recycling the dark male persona and the witty-in-your-face-tough-girl persona in just about every book after seize the night. Now, she wants teens in on what was an adult series of darkness and fantasy. Does anyone else think this? Oddly enough, she isn't making the teen books out of a completely new series, she is taking dark-hunter sex symbols and dumbing them down. It's my opinion, so I don't mean to offend any fans of the new work. Share your thoughts and theories.
